What's new? Tech & Product Newsletter - April 2024
Welcome to the April edition of our Retailer Tech & Product Updates! 🚀
In this month's issue, we're thrilled to unveil the latest tech updates, product improvements and bug fixes, tailored specifically to supercharge your grocery delivery sales. As convenience store retailers, your success is our priority, and we're dedicated to providing you with the tools and insights you need to succeed.
New: Google Pay added to Snappy Shopper Android app
This is a big one! Our developers have been working hard behind the scenes and we’re delighted to announce that users on Android phones can now use Google Pay when at checkout.
Why is this important? Not only does it improve the experience for existing Snappy Shopper customers but it makes the journey for new customers as smooth as possible. A faster, more convenient ordering process will increase customer retention and provide you with long-term success.
Bug Fix: Driver location updates
Our team has addressed a bug that was causing issues with the driver location updates customers were receiving. This bug would cause the drivers reported positions to repeatedly get stuck every few minutes and then suddenly jump to correct locations. This is a server side fix and the existing app versions will work correctly with the new fix.
New: Exclude tobacco products from free delivery
We’re delighted to announce that you can now exclude tobacco products from your free delivery minimum spend.
This means that if your free delivery is set to £40, when a customer spends X amount on tobacco products, the amount does not contribute towards the £40 required to qualify for free delivery.
How to add to your store: Please speak to your Snappy Shopper representative about adding this option to your free delivery setup.
Bug Fix: Products marked as Delivery or Collection ‘Only’ improvements
We were seeing some issues on the platform where products that were marked as ‘Delivery Only’ or ‘Collection Only’ would still be showing up for both options. This issue has now been fixed.
