One Stop Motherwell retailer recognised by Scottish Parliament
One of our Snappy Shopper retailers, Adeil Hussain, owner of One Stop Motherwell, has seen his efforts in his community recognised by the Scottish Parliament. Adeil received this recognition after participating in our successful 1p Back to School bundles promotion.
We've been working closely with our local independent retailers to support their communities in the face of a cost-of-living crisis by offering food solutions to families, including its most recent success; “1p Back To School Bundles”, where it offered school lunch supplies to families for one penny.
Through working with participating convenience stores, our retailers collectively sold over 3,600 of its 1p promotional packed lunch bundles in just two days as Scottish shoppers snapped up staples such as crisps, fruit and bread – the value of which would have been worth a combined total of £30,000.
The success at community level has led to local convenience store owner Adeil Hussain receive a motion from Parliament for his efforts.
The motion, awarded by Clare Adamson MSP, said:
“The Parliament commends the One Stop Convenience Store in Motherwell for their steps to tackle the cost of living through providing help to their customers in partnership with Snappy Shopper.”
Dael Links, Head of B2B Marketing at Snappy Shopper, added:
“We’re so thrilled for the team at One Stop Motherwell on their commendation – it’s well deserved."
