Snappy Media Insights | September 2024 Round Up
We're delighted to share this month’s edition of Snappy Media Insights, where we bring you the latest highlights from Snappy Shopper's media team and wider business news! In September, we’re thrilled to celebrate some incredible achievements and exciting expansions.
AU Vodka Achieves 93% YoY Growth on Snappy Shopper
AU Vodka continues its remarkable performance on the Snappy Shopper platform, with a 93% year-over-year increase in Volume. This growth has been driven by new product developments (NPD) and a strong push of ready-to-drink (RTD) cans, alongside continued demand for the 70cl bottles. With strategic, targeted promotions and visibility in the app, AU Vodka has successfully captured a larger share of the premium spirits and premix categories. This showcases the power of promotional campaigns and how they can boost both emerging and established brands on the Snappy Shopper platform.
The Shift Towards Multipack Formats in Q-Commerce
The Q-commerce sector is seeing a strong shift toward multipack formats, especially in confectionery and soft drinks. This is largely driven by the value-conscious consumer, who is opting for larger quantity purchases to maximise convenience and savings. With delivery services like Snappy Shopper, shoppers are more inclined to buy in bulk rather than ordering single units. For retailers, promoting multipacks not only aligns with changing consumer habits but also provides a path to increase average basket sizes and sales.
In-App Menu Taxonomy Increases Sales by 35%
We recently tested a new menu taxonomy feature on several Snappy Shopper partner stores, moving specific product categories higher up on the in-app menu. The results were clear—a 35% increase in sales for the promoted category over a set period. This highlights how critical it is to reduce friction in a user’s shopping journey, with a well-organised menu structure making it easier for customers to find what they want. This experiment underscores the importance of store taxonomy in driving user engagement and boosting overall sales.
Snappy Shopper Expands One Stop Partnership
We're proud to announce an exciting expansion of our partnership with One Stop. After a successful trial period, Snappy Shopper is now available in 54 One Stop stores, with plans to go live in 200 additional locations by next month. This collaboration will make One Stop's product range more accessible to local customers through fast and convenient home delivery. By working together, Snappy Shopper and One Stop are bringing high-quality convenience to the forefront, creating new opportunities for both retailers and shoppers across the UK.
