Anthony Capaldi races through Glasgow store to raise £1,000 for children’s charity
Given just 60 seconds, Anthony raced through the Springburn Road store, filling his basket with essentials for the charity, which grants wishes to children facing life-threatening illnesses.
Anthony’s haul totalled an impressive £400, fully covered by Snappy Shopper and matched by the store, alongside a further £200 donation from Filshill, bringing the total donation to £1,000.
Speaking before the dash, Anthony Capaldi said: “This dash is for When You Wish Upon a Star, an amazing charity that creates life changing experiences for children who are going through incredibly difficult situations. It’s run by a brilliant group of people and I’m really proud to support the work they do.”
Anthony is an established actor, having appeared in Not ’Til You Came Around (2019) and The Way We Used to Be (2019), and most recently starring in the British drama I Swear (2025), which tells the inspiring true story of Tourette’s Syndrome campaigner John Davidson.
Vivien Sung, owner of Keystore Springburn, said: “We’re incredibly proud to support When You Wish Upon a Star this Christmas. It was fantastic to welcome Anthony into the store for such a fun and meaningful dash, and we’re delighted to be part of something that will make a real difference to children and families.”
