Horsley Hill Premier launches Snappy Shopper partnership with six weeks of giving
The store, based in Horsley Hill Square and run by long-standing owner Jag Singh, has partnered with delivery app Snappy Shopper to bring rapid home delivery to surrounding communities. Jag jokes in his social media videos, “Who’s the best store in South Shields? Horsley Hill is!” But this Christmas, the store is proving it with action, launching rapid delivery and a series of charitable and community initiatives.
The store, which has a huge social media following (91,000 Facebook, 37,900 Instagram and 289,100 TikTok followers), will kick off celebrations with a donation of 100 Christmas selection boxes to a South Shields charity chosen entirely by local residents.
A launch party on December 1 featured free face painting, a Spin the Wheel and special gifts for the first 50 customers who ordered through the app.
Over the following weeks, the store will host a race-against-the-clock Store Dash for a nominated “local hero” and charity, give away free Snappy Shopper winter packs, offer bundles of essentials for as little as 99p and deliver a Christmas Eve hamper worth £500 to a family put forward by the community.
Jag Singh said: “This community has supported our store for more than a decade, and we want to give something meaningful back, not just at Christmas, but especially at Christmas.
“Partnering with Snappy Shopper means we can help more people get essentials to their homes quickly and hopefully bring a smile to a lot of families over the next few weeks.”

To celebrate the launch, new Snappy customers can get £8 off and free delivery on two orders with HORSLEY88FREE, while existing customers can enjoy £5 off, free delivery and a free Pepsi 2L with SNAPPY5FREE.
