22 Kids and Counting’s Millie Radford takes on festive Snappy Store Dash for Morecambe Bay Foodbank

22 Kids and Counting star Millie Radford brought festive cheer to Morecambe this week as she took part in a heart-warming ‘Supermarket Sweep’ style dash to help stock the shelves of Morecambe Bay Foodbank.

Millie, one of Noel and Sue Radford’s well-known brood from Britain’s biggest family, sprinted up and down the aisles of The Vale Convenience Store on Noel Road, Lancaster, filling baskets with much-needed non-perishable goods.

The total value of Millie’s haul reached £135, fully covered by grocery delivery app Snappy Shopper and matched by the store, doubling the donation to the local foodbank at a time when demand is at its highest.

The feel-good event was organised by Vale Convenience Store in partnership with Snappy Shopper, as part of the delivery service’s 12 Days of Christmas campaign celebrating retailers and community heroes making a real difference this festive season.

Mum-of-three Millie, speaking after completing her dash, said: “It was great to get involved in something that will make Christmas a little brighter for families in my hometown. The foodbank does incredible work and knowing this will help people who really need support means so much.”

Briony Scott, Foodbank Manager, said: “We want to say a massive thank you for this incredible donation. The store dash was such a fun idea and the generosity shown by both Snappy Shopper and The Vale Convenience Store will make a real difference to people across our community.

“This time of year is particularly stressful for anybody needing emergency food support, and donations like this help ensure we can provide for everyone who turns to us.”

Morecambe Bay Foodbank, supported by over 80 volunteers, provides seven-day emergency food parcels to people in crisis across Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding areas.

Store owner Pira added: “We’re proud to support the foodbank and wanted to do something meaningful for Christmas. Matching the total felt like a small way for us to help make sure local families have what they need this winter.”
